THE COURT RECEIVES NOTIFICATION THAT AN INDIVIDUAL PRESENT FOR THE PEOPLE V. ROBERT DURST SENTENCING HEARING HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID

The Court was notified late Friday night that an individual present for the October 14 sentencing hearing in the People v. Robert Durst (SA089983) case has tested positive for COVID-19. The sentencing hearing was held in Dept. 81 at the Airport Courthouse, 11701 S. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles.

As a result, the Court will follow CDC and LA County Department of Public Health (LA DPH) guidelines for assessing close contacts of the infected individual. The Court, which has followed CDC and LA DPH guidelines on COVID-19 protocols since the pandemic’s onset, is making appropriate notifications to close contacts.

The Court does not have any additional reports of COVID infections related to this case.
