In light of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Mono County Clerk-Recorder’s office is taking the Center for Disease Control’s recommendations for social distancing and the Governor’s Shelter-in-Place orders very seriously. We strive to continue to serve our public and provide services in the most efficient way possible, all while keeping the public and our employees safe.
As of Thursday, March 26, we are operating under shortened office hours and will be available by phone and email from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. At this time, we are not offering a walk-in counter service. WE WILL NOT ISSUE MARRIAGE LICENSES AT THIS TIME.
We have a drop-box outside our locked lobby door where customers may drop off recordings and requests for other documents. Our phone number is posted on our lobby doors and we are happy to take your calls as staff is available throughout the day. As a reminder, we offer Electronic Document Recording (available through your local Title Company), and VitalChek (a safe, online method for requesting and obtaining copies of Birth, Death, and Marriage records). If you have any questions or need any assistance, please call us at 760-932-5530. We are committed to providing the best service we can during this unpredictable time. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
