On November 30, 2020, the California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board (CalOSHB) issued Covid-19 Prevention – Emergency Temporary Standards which require employers to implement certain safety measures including face coverings and physical distancing in shared common areas and workspaces. Courts are, at a minimum, subject to the CalOSHB regulations which remain in effect until further notice.

To ensure the health and safety of all court users – including members of the public, jurors, judicial officers, and court staff – the Riverside Superior Court continues to require that all persons in court facilities adhere to existing safety protocols, including face covering and physical distancing requirements, as outlined in General Order 2020-67.

The court continues to monitor and evaluate Covid-19 rules and regulations issued by various federal, state, and local agencies involved and will update court safety protocols as appropriate.
