As a precautionary measure to help slow the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) the Assessor-Recorder’s Office will not be able to provide services for walk-in
customers starting March 19, 2020 at 11 am, until further notice. Our services will continue as outlined below.
- Assessments & Annual Filings – All Assessor forms are available online. We encourage customers to submit forms through the mail. For businesses submitting Property Statements we recommend you e-file.
- Recordings & Official Record Purchases – Electronic recording for certified submitters will continue. Entities such as title companies, some law offices and financial institutions are certified submitters. We will continue to process documents and requests for official records sent through the mail as usual. Completed requests will be returned through the US mail.
- Birth, Death, and Marriage Records Requests – Requests for vital records (birth, death, and marriage records) submitted online through the Vitalchek service, as well as requests through the mail will be processed as normal. Completed requests will be returned through the US mail.
- General Phone Calls and Emails – Phone calls, voicemails and emails will be answered as soon as possible based on availability of staff.
