In response to the unique and continuing public safety challenge presented by COVID-19 and the numerous public health orders requiring limitation of public gatherings, the Superior Court of California, County of Solano issues the following announcement, effective Tuesday March 17 through Friday, April 3, 2020.

The Solano Superior Court is seeking an emergency order from the Chief Justice. The Court remains open, but will seek to reset and continue many of the following matters:

  • Civil, Family and Probate Trials
  • Small Claims Matters
  • Unlawful Detainer Matters
  • Traffic Matters except for trials already scheduled
  • Guardianship and Conservatorship matters, with the exception of emergency orders
  • Most Family Law Matters
  • Most Criminal Trials

The courthouses will remain open for parties to use the drop box. All Clerk’s Offices are closed to the public. All transactions with the Clerk’s Offices will be handled via drop box, telephone or via e-mail.

These continuances are intended to reduce the number of jurors, parties and attorneys in the Court, consistent with Governor Newsom’s Executive Order dated March 12, 2020.
