Over the past weeks, the Superior Court of Sonoma County has closely monitored state and local responses to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Court has followed the guidance provided by state and local public health agencies, the California Department of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in taking precautionary measures to ensure both our employees and the public’s health and safety.

Given the announcement by Sonoma County Health officials on Saturday, March 14, 2020, in which the first confirmed case of community spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the County and to prevent the spread of the virus in the County, the Presiding Judge in agreement with the Court’s Executive Committee and the Court Executive Officer has decided to close all court locations and services except for critical calendars and functions. The closure will be effective Monday, March 16, 2020, through Friday, April 3, 2020.

The court closure days are judicial holidays for purposes of filing deadlines and other time calculations.
