Status of Court Processing LA Civil eFilings
Please be advised that the Los Angeles Superior Court is experiencing delays and technical difficulties as they roll out their new Civil eFiling system.
- There are filings that have been submitted through our software, and the Court has Accepted them, however, their software has not sent back any notification to us. This means that the filer doesn’t realize their filing has been accepted and has not received their file-stamped copies. The court’s vendor, Journal Technologies, is aware of this problem and has acknowledged it is an issue with their software and is working to resolve it and get those notifications to us as quickly as they can.
- There are filings that have been submitted through our software, and the court has Rejected them, however, their software has not sent back any notifications to us. This means that the filer doesn’t realize their filing has been rejected, and for what reason. Again, the court’s vendor, Journal Technologies, is aware of this problem and has acknowledged it is an issue with their software and is working to resolve it and get those notifications to us as quickly as they can.
- Perhaps the most significant issue is that there are thousands of filings that have been submitted through our software, and are still Awaiting Clerk Review. We’ve not been provided any reports on how the Court will work through this backlog.
As we learn more, we will keep you updated.
