SPECIAL NOTICE REGARDING FILING IN CONTRA COSTA COUNTY

Contra Costa Superior Court transitioned to the Tyler/Odyssey Case Management System on Monday, March 28, 2022. This system is the foundation for the court’s future eFiling system.

In preparation for eFiling, the court is now scanning all documents at the clerk’s counter as they are filed.  Due to the time required for scanning, the court is filing fewer documents over the counter (OTC).  Any documents not filed at the civil counter by noon must be placed in the drop box or filed the following day. To provide the best chance of filing OTC, courier services are queuing outside the Martinez courthouse before it opens at 8:00 am.  This, however, does not guarantee every courier will make it to the front of the line before the civil counter closes at noon.  In response, First Legal has changed our cutoff time for civil filings to 3:30 pm the day prior.
