REDUCTION IN COURT REPORTER SERVICES

Pursuant to Administrative Order 22.13, beginning May 2, 2022, the Ventura Superior Court will no longer provide court reporters for the following types of proceedings:

  • Civil
    • case settlements placed on the record;
    • Asset Forfeiture;
    • Harassment;
    • Elder/Dependent Adult Abuse;
    • Workplace Violence;
    • Private Postsecondary School Violence;
    • Gun Violence Restraining Orders;
    • Petitions for Order Prohibiting Abuse or Program Misconduct.
  • Family Law
    • case settlements placed on the record;
    • Request for Orders;
    • Ex Partes;
    • Domestic Violence Restraining Orders.
  • Probate
    • all matters.
  • Juvenile
    • Status Conferences for Termination of Parental Rights (T) cases.

Any party may arrange at their own expense for a reporter to be present at a hearing listed above. A party that has been granted a fee waiver may make a written request for a court reporter, in advance, for a hearing listed above. (See Cal. Rules of Court, rule 2.956(c) for more information)
