Los Angeles Superior Court Civil eFiling Document Name List

Los Angeles Superior Court has published a complete and accurate list of document names for civil eFiling available for selection via the eFiling portal.

This document can be found here.

When filing documents through the Los Angeles civil court eFiling portal you will eventually run into a situation where the document you are filing is not on the court’s list of “Document Types”.

First Legal recommends selecting the “Notice (name extension)” document type and then listing the actual document type in the name extension box. Although you could hypothetically choose another document type, we have found this one is generally accepted by the court clerks reviewing your documents.

Once you have selected this document type, you should make a comment to the clerk explaining that your intended document type wasn’t on the list.

If you have any questions about eFiling, please contact our eFiling department at, or use the chat feature within our portal. At First Legal, we consider our clients partners and will do whatever we can to ensure your success.
