Due to the surge in Covid-19 cases, the Ventura Superior Court will have only limited services from January 11, 2022, through January 31, 2022.

The majority of courtrooms will be closed to the public. A small number of courtrooms will be operating to hear urgent criminal, juvenile, temporary restraining order issues and emergency ex parte Family Law, Civil, Unlawful Detainer, and Probate matters, only. For further instructions check the department’s page located under the “Divisions” tab on this website.

The Clerk’s Office, Records & Exhibits and the Civil & Family Law Self-Help Centers will have no in-person appointments. Outside Walk-Up Windows at the Hall of Justice in Ventura and the East County Courthouse in Simi Valley will remain open for Traffic and Collection Payments, only.

E-Delivery for Civil, Family Law, Probate, and Small Claims is suspended and unavailable during the closure period. As a result of the court closure, the Dropboxes at the Hall of Justice and Juvenile Justice Center are closed.

Jurors scheduled to serve during this period should consult the Jury Service page on this website.

All individuals regardless of vaccination status are required to wear masks in the courthouses.
