LASC: FAMILY LAW JUDICIAL ASSIGNMENT CHANGES AT THE STANLEY MOSK COURTHOUSE

Effective June 9, 2025, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County’s Family Law Division will implement the following changes to courtroom operations at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse located at 111 North Hill St., Los Angeles:

• Commissioner Aleen Avanesian will be assigned to Department 8. All matters previously assigned to Department 8 will be assigned to Commissioner Avanesian for all purposes, unless otherwise notified.
• Commissioner Jennell R. Mimms will be assigned to Department 33. All matters previously assigned to Department 33 will be assigned to Commissioner Mimms for all purposes, unless otherwise notified.
• Commissioner Mahin V. Salehi will be assigned to Department 41. All matters previously assigned to Department 41 will be assigned to Commissioner Salehi for all purposes, unless otherwise notified.

All matters currently calendared shall remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set. Counsel and parties are instructed to indicate the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings and document routing.
