LASC: Limited Civil Collections Hearings Are Moving From the Chatsworth Courthouse to the San Fernando Courthouse

Effective Aug. 18, 2025, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County will move all limited civil collections hearings in the North Valley District from Department F41 at the Chatsworth Courthouse located at 9425 Penfield Ave., Chatsworth, to Department K at the San Fernando Courthouse located at 900 Third St., San Fernando.

Courtroom Appearances

  • All motion reservations will continue to be done through the Court Reservation System (CRS). To access CRS, click here.
  • All parties may continue to schedule and appear remotely using LACourtConnect (LACC). To access LACC, click here.

Clerk’s Office Services

  • Any self-represented litigant with a limited civil collections case has the option to electronically file (efile) case-related documents. Litigants represented by attorneys are required to efile unless they have obtained a court order for an exemption.
  • Self-represented litigants and attorneys with an efiling exemption may continue to file documents in person at the Chatsworth Courthouse or San Fernando Courthouse.
  • All limited civil collections litigants may continue to use the Court’s online services available here, or may seek customer service by:
    • Calling the Chatsworth Courthouse Clerk’s Office at 818-407-2200.
    • Visiting the Chatsworth Courthouse Clerk’s Office or San Fernando Courthouse Clerk’s Office.

All matters currently calendared will remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set but will be heard at the San Fernando Courthouse in Department K beginning on August 18. Counsel and parties are instructed to indicate the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings and document routing.
