Superior Court of Los Angeles County to Launch Redesigned Interface for LACourtConnect

Updates to LACC Welcome and Check-In Pages Align With Court’s 2025–2028 Strategic Plan to Expand Access, Improve User Experience and Foster Innovation

On Nov. 3, 2025, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County will unveil a redesigned interface for LACourtConnect (LACC), the Court’s free remote courtroom appearance technology platform, with a redesigned welcome page and same-day check-in page for court users wishing to appear remotely. In addition, the Court will also unveil new LACC integration with CourtHelp, the Court’s conversational online tool, that will allow court users to directly access their remote hearings from the Court’s homepage.

“The Strategic Plan calls on us to enhance accessibility, build trust, and embrace innovation,” Presiding Judge Tapia said. “By simplifying the LACourtConnect experience and expanding access through CourtHelp, we are meeting the evolving needs of the communities we serve and ensuring that remote access to justice is clear, user-friendly, and equitable.”

Redesigned LACC Welcome & Same-Day Check-In Pages

Introducing a new simplified user interface designed in alignment with the Court’s new website, LACC’s refreshed welcome page provides direct access to the Court’s litigation types that utilize LACC, including civil, family law, small claims, probate, unlawful detainer, traffic, criminal, appellate, juvenile justice and mental health. Quick access to resources, including a quick reference guide and video tutorials, is also available.

In addition, LACC’s redesigned Same Day Check-In page now features a new navigation pane with direct links to the most commonly used features. Court users can directly access the Same Day Check-In page, My Checked-in Hearings and the Courtroom Preview feature alongside quick links to resources, technical specifications and support resources.

“Our Strategic Plan recognizes that technology must be people-focused,” Executive Officer/Clerk of Court David W. Slayton said. “These LACC enhancements put users at the center by making it easier to check in for hearings, track case updates, and receive reminders—all in one place. This is about delivering efficient, responsive, and modern court services that reflect the public’s expectations.”

CourtHelp Integration

CourtHelp, the Court’s interactive conversational tool that connects users directly with court services, is now integrated with LACC to make managing remote hearings even easier. Through CourtHelp, users can search for hearings assigned to their case, view their checked-in hearings, and check in for same-day hearings. Users can set up text message reminders through the chat bot to ensure they never miss an upcoming hearing.

The platform promotes convenience and choice, offering audio and video remote appearance options that eliminate the need for driving, parking, and childcare costs while saving time on commutes to courthouses. LACC 3.0 is compatible with Windows PC, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices that support Microsoft Teams.

The largest trial court in the nation, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County serves a population of nearly 10 million in 36 courthouses with a jurisdiction covering over 4,000 square miles that consists of 88 cities, 140 unincorporated areas, and more than 90 law enforcement agencies.
