Limited Civil Collection Judicial Assignment Changes at the Norwalk Courthouse
On Feb. 2, 2026, the Limited Civil Collection Division implemented the following changes to courtroom operations at the Norwalk Courthouse, located at 12720 Norwalk Blvd., Norwalk:
- Commissioner Alexis Salzman is assigned to Department Z. Department Z has opened as a second Limited Civil Collections Courtroom. All matters previously assigned to Judge Lillian Vega Jacobs in Department Y are now assigned to Commissioner Salzman in Department Z for all purposes, unless otherwise notified.
- Judge Sherry Powell will remain assigned to Department Y. All matters previously assigned to Judge Powell remain assigned to Judge Powell for all purposes, unless otherwise notified.
All matters currently calendared shall remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set, unless otherwise notified. Counsel and parties are instructed to indicate the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings and document routing.
