Superior Court of Los Angeles County to Discontinue Family Law Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Program on Aug. 31, 2026
Change Does Not Extend Statutory Deadlines, Alter Filing Requirements or Modify Any Obligation Imposed by Statute, Rule, or Court Order
Effective Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County will discontinue the Family Law Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Program. The online tool helped parents in negotiating child custody and parenting time agreements at no cost.
Important Information for Litigants Affected by the Program’s Discontinuation
Parties with an ODR session currently in progress should complete the session before 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 31, as any sessions not completed by that date will be closed. If parties reach an agreement, they should file their Parenting Plan Agreement with the Court before Aug. 31, 2026.
The discontinuation of ODR does not extend statutory deadlines, change filing requirements, or modify any obligation imposed by statute, rule, or court order. Parties must continue to follow all scheduled hearing and mediation dates.
