Los Angeles County Clerk’s Office: Fee Increase
Effective June 1, 2026, per the request of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the RegistrarRecorder/County Clerk will increase fees for the collection of the Real Estate Fraud Prosecution fee from $5 to $10.
At the request of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, this is approved pursuant to the April 28th, 2026, Board of Supervisors adoption of resolution to authorize an increase to the fee for recording any real estate instrument, paper, or notice from $5 to $10, with the funds used for the purpose of deterring, investigating, and prosecuting real estate fraud crimes, pursuant to Government Code 27388.
