Case Reassignments From Department J3 to J4
Beginning June 1, 2026, W&I 8102 / 8103 Deadly Weapons cases including Requests to Challenge Disqualified Persons, and Notice of Impoundment of Vehicle cases will be assigned to Judge Carla Ortega in Courtroom J4 at the Juvenile Justice Center in Oxnard.
Beginning June 1, 2026, the above matters will be heard on Mondays at 3:00 PM in Courtroom J4.
Filings on the above case types must be submitted to the Civil Clerk’s Office at the Hall of Justice in Ventura (800 S. Victoria Ave Ventura, CA 93009). Filings will not be accepted at the Juvenile Justice Center in Oxnard.
