SAN BERNARDINO SUPERIOR COURT IMPLEMENTS MANDATORY EFILING FOR PROBATE CASES
Effective June 16, 2025, the San Bernardino Superior Court will require electronic filing (eFiling) for all documents submitted by attorneys in probate case types, pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 2.253(b).
Self-represented litigants are exempt from the mandatory eFiling and electronic service requirements but are encouraged to participate voluntarily.
Parties seeking exemption from mandatory eFiling may submit Judicial Council form EFS-007, Request for Exemption from Mandatory Electronic Filing and Service, along with form EFS-008, Order of Exemption, stating facts under penalty of perjury to support their request.
Certain documents may be ineligible for electronic submission as outlined in the Probate eFiling Requirements section on the court’s website. To participate in eFiling, attorneys or self-represented litigants must select a certified Electronic Filing Service Provider (EFSP) available through the court’s website.
For a complete list of requirements, provider options, and frequently asked questions, please visit the Court’s eFiling webpage. Additional details and rules can be found in General Order.
