KERN COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT: NOTICE OF CONVERSION TO ECOURT AND NON-CRIMINAL FILINGS
The Kern County Superior Court will be transitioning to a new case management system, eCourt, effective October 6, 2025. To ensure a smooth conversion process, please observe the following important deadlines and filing requirements:
- Effective Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. electronic filings will no longer be accepted via File & Serve.
From Monday, August 25, 2025 through October 6, 2025, the Court will only accept paper filings for all non-criminal matters, which must be accompanied by the appropriate filing fees.
Any questions regarding the status of specific filings, filing and calendaring timeframes, or applicable filing fees should be directed to the appropriate non-criminal division directly.
All documents submitted for filing must conform to the California Rules of Court Title Two.
Due to system upgrades, from September 26, 2025 (5 p.m.) through October 6, 2025 (8 a.m.), all Court locations will be unable to accept credit or debit cards as a form of payment, and cash or check will be required. Additionally, online credit and debit card payments will also be unavailable during this time.
The Court appreciates the patience and cooperation of counsel, the public, and our justice partners as we work to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
