Holiday Courthouse Closure
Due to statewide budgetary constraints and a diminished caseload during the holidays, the Fresno Superior Court hereby announces its proposal to temporarily consolidate cases and all essential hearings to be heard only in the Main Courthouse and the Juvenile Justice Courthouse, on the following dates only: November 24, 25, and 26, 2025; December 22, 23, 24, and 26, 2025; January 2, 2026; and February 13, 2026. In addition, Clerk’s Offices will be consolidated into the Main Courthouse and the Juvenile Justice Courthouse.
- Main Courthouse, 1100 Van Ness Ave. (Criminal and Dependency) OPEN
- Juvenile Justice Courthouse, 3333 E. American Ave. (Juvenile Justice) OPEN
- Jail Annex Departments 95 & 96, 1265 “M” St. (Criminal) CLOSED
- Archives Department, 1963 “E” St. CLOSED

This proposal is published for public comment from June 2, 2025, with a deadline of August 1, 2025. After that date, the comments will be reviewed and modifications will be made to the proposal, if necessary. These changes are a result of the Court’s strategic planning for operational efficiency during this time of year. The temporary relocation of departments from the “M” Street and B.F. Sisk Courthouses to the Main Courthouse and the Juvenile Justice Courthouse on these dates will provide the Court with the opportunity to better utilize staff resources.
An outside drop box will be available during the closure period. Although research and copy requests cannot be fulfilled, First Legal is prepared to print and drop box documents with the court while the courthouse is closed. Electronic Filing is unaffected by the closure.
