Probate Division Assignment Changes at Stanley Mosk Courthouse and Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse

Effective Feb. 2, 2026, the Probate Division will implement the following changes to courtroom operations at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, located at 111 N. Hill St., Los Angeles and the Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse, located at 42011 4th St. West, Lancaster:

  • Judge Charles Q. Clay III will be assigned to Department 18 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. Department 18 will open as a new probate courtroom. All matters previously assigned to Department 18 have or will be reassigned.
  • Judge William H. Forman in Department A14 at Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse will no longer hear probate matters. The Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse will continue to accept in-person and electronic filings. However, cases will be assigned and calendared in Department 18 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.

Litigants and attorneys may appear through any of the following options:

  • Option 1: Appear remotely via LACourtConnect.
  • Option 2: Appear in-person at the Antelope Valley Courthouse in Department A22 (remote appearance will be broadcast in Department 18 at Stanley Mosk Courthouse).
  • Option 3: Appear in-person in Department 18 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.

All matters currently calendared in Department A14 at Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse shall remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set, unless otherwise notified. Counsel and parties are instructed to indicate the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings and document routing.
