Attorneys and Justice Partners May No Longer Print Transcripts Using the Attorney and Justice Partner Portals, Effective Dec. 1, 2025
Attorneys and Justice Partners May Still View Transcripts on the Attorney and Justice Partner Portals
Beginning on Dec. 1, 2025, attorneys and justice partners using their respective portals — the Attorney Portal and the Justice Partner Portal — will no longer have the option to print transcripts.
Attorneys and justice partners may still view the transcripts electronically while using the portals, pursuant to General Order 2025-SJ-002-00. Beginning on Dec. 1, 2025, the portals’ print feature will no longer be available.
How Attorneys and Justice Partners May Access Transcripts:
- Transcripts may still be accessed while using the Court’s public portals or the Attorney and Justice Partner portals.
- Attorneys and justice partners may contact court reporters directly to purchase copies of the transcripts. For more information on requesting transcripts, visit this page.
This change regarding transcript printouts from the Attorney Portal and the Justice Partner Portal is made pursuant to California Government Code, section 69954(d), which prohibits the copying of transcripts without payment to the court reporter. Specifically, “Any court, party, or person who has purchased a transcript may, without paying a further fee to the reporter, reproduce a copy or portion thereof as an exhibit pursuant to court order or rule, or for internal use, but shall not otherwise provide or sell a copy or copies to any other party or person.”
