LASC: WEBINAR SCHEDULED ON MAY 28 TO ASSIST USERS AHEAD OF LACOURTCONNECT’S EXPANSION TO CRIMINAL AND APPELLATE COURTROOMS

Join Executive Officer/Clerk of Court David W. Slayton for an Overview of LACourtConnect As It Expands to the Court’s Criminal and Appellate Divisions

As previously announced, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County will begin a phased rollout of LACourtConnect (LACC) in Criminal, Appellate, Mental Health and Juvenile courtrooms. The first phase begins June 2, 2025, and includes all Criminal courtrooms at the following courthouse locations:

• Catalina Courthouse
• Compton Courthouse
• East Los Angeles Courthouse
• Governor George Deukmejian Courthouse (Long Beach)
• Inglewood Courthouse
• Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse
• Pomona Courthouse
• Torrance Courthouse

Criminal courtrooms in courthouses not listed above, as well as all Appellate courtrooms, will transition to the new platform later in June, with an announcement forthcoming. Mental Health and Juvenile Justice courtrooms are scheduled to transition to the new platform in July.

Webinar: LACourtConnect – Criminal and Appellate Workshop

To help users prepare for the transition, the Court will host a live webinar led by Executive Officer/Clerk of Court David W. Slayton to encourage users to learn all about LACourtConnect, the Court’s remote appearance platform, in advance of its deployment to the Court’s Criminal and Appellate divisions. The session will include a walkthrough of the platform’s functionality and features, including same-day check-in, search tools, and multiple-case management options.

The platform promotes convenience and choice, offering audio and video remote appearance options, which eliminate the need for driving, parking, and childcare costs, while saving commute time to courthouses. LACC 3.0 is compatible with Windows PC, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices that support Microsoft Teams.
