Maricopa County Clerk’s Office Launches Scanned Orders and Judgments Project to Improve Access and Efficiency
The Clerk of the Court in Maricopa County is proud to announce the launch of the Scanned Orders and Judgments Project; a new initiative designed to enhance efficiency and improve access to justice by distributing scanned orders and judgments, issued outside of a hearing, directly to all endorsed parties.
With this enhancement, courtroom clerks will no longer need to create minute entries when an order is signed outside of a hearing. Instead, parties will now receive the actual signed orders. This change reduces administrative duplication while ensuring that litigants and attorneys receive timely, accurate information.
All Clerk of Court locations have adopted this new capability as of October 2, 2025.
“The Scanned Orders and Judgments Project is a win for Clerk of Court staff, court processes, and the public,” Joseph W. Malka, Clerk of the Superior Court in Maricopa County, said. “By reducing redundancies and delivering documents directly, we’re saving time and improving service.”
The project also marks the first step toward incorporating scanned documents into Judicial Review, a long-term goal that will further expand transparency and accessibility.
“This initiative is another example of how the Clerk’s Office is investing in innovation,” Clerk Malka said. “We are committed to using technology to streamline processes, support judicial officers and staff, and ensure that the public has the information they need.”
The Clerk’s Office remains focused on improving efficiency, accuracy, and customer service through projects like the Scanned Orders and Judgments initiative. By modernizing operations and prioritizing the needs of both staff and the public, the office continues to advance its mission of supporting the courts and enhancing access to justice.
