RIVERSIDE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT: IMPLEMENTATION OF ELECTRONIC SERVICE OF DOCUMENTS
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025, counsel and parties will be allowed the option to receive Court notices by email instead of regular mail for most Civil cases.
If you have an attorney, the court is mandated to send important case documents to the email address identified by your attorney. The court will stop sending these documents by mail. If you do not have an attorney, you may opt into electronic service.
The following case types will be affected:
- General Civil
- Family Law
- Probate
- Juvenile Dependency
- Juvenile Delinquency
- Landlord-Tenant
eService will provide benefits such as efficiency and convenience, as well as streamline case progression.
Immediate Action Requested: To comply with state law, the Court is requesting all attorneys to provide their email address for receiving electronic notice via eService. Self-represented parties may also elect to opt into this service.
To effectively opt into receiving electronic notification, attorneys are instructed to file the EFS-005-CV if their firm has not already provided an email address. This form will need to be completed and filed for each active case your firm may have.
If you do not have an attorney and want to receive notice by email in your active case, please do the following:
- Complete and file the EFS-005-CV Consent form and provide the court with your email address you wish to use.
- If you consent to receive electronic service and change your email address, you will be responsible for providing the court with a notice of change of electronic service address by completing and filing EFS-010.
- If you decide you no longer would like to receive electronic service, you will be required to fill out and file Judicial Council form EFS-006.
Should you have any questions, please contact the court at (951) 777-3147.
