Santa Barbara County Superior Court: Cost Recovery Fee Increase

Effective September 1, 2025, the cost of eFiling will increase from $6.45 to $10.00 per envelope.

Government Code §68150(l) and California Rule of Court 2.506 permit the court to impose a cost recovery fee to offset the expense of providing electronic filing. The court has undertaken substantial investments in technological equipment and infrastructure to provide eFiling, implement the Odyssey Case Management System and expand memory capabilities as the database of case records continues to grow. To offset a portion of those expenses the court is increasing the electronic filing fee.
